Awesome pics! So they have prickly pear in Africa, too... I always thought that was more of an American thing. Just goes to show how educational a trip to a foreign country can be (even when you're not the one going). :(
I just realized that in practically every comment i've posted, I've complained about not being in Kenya, too! All I can say is that I did a lot of research about Africa for a story that I never wrote, and became fascinated with the people and culture. It is on my list of places to visit someday.
